In order to claim free school meals the parent/s or guardian/s who make the application for Free School Meals must be in receipt of one of the following payments:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit

Parent/s or guradian/s who make the application are required to provide evidence of their entitlement to the school in order to assess eligability for free meals.

We do encourage parents who are unsure of eligability to contact the school, and also those parents who are eligable but do not wish to take up free school meals, we encourage to apply as the school benefits financially even if the meal is not taken.

If at any time your circumstances change please inform the school office.
